Video Transcript: 427 Wing - Local Organization

They have a museum to teach all generations about the local area in terms of how we contributed to the war efforts. A lot of us, we don't know that history of what's in our own backyard.

And so not only do they have this space where you can learn that. It's all run by volunteers, and so they just give of themselves so much to preserving that.

They are an incredible group of people who are so dedicated to their community, to the history of our community as it relates to the Royal Canadian Air Force, to Servicemen and women, to Veterans in our community. It truly is an incredible place to be and to spend some time.

They provide truly that all-encompassing kind of idea and feeling of what it means to be in the military, what it means to be a part of a community, what it means to be part of that group. They just care. And when you walk in those doors, you feel it.

To all the members of the 427 Wing, you have given of yourselves repeatedly throughout your careers, throughout your lives, and now into retirement. I’m just so grateful to represent you, but to also be a member and to continue to be able to stop by on Fridays for a good meal and conversation.
