October 8, 2024, OTTAWA, ON – Veterans Ombud Colonel (Ret’d) Nishika Jardine will be in Kingston and Trenton, Ontario, the week of October 8h to meet with the Veteran community. The visit includes town halls on October 8th in Kingston and October 9th in Trenton.

Town halls give the Veterans Ombud an opportunity to listen to the concerns of the Veteran community and share updates about the Office of the Veterans Ombud (OVO) and its future priorities. Veterans, current members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and RCMP, as well as survivors, families, and friends are encouraged to attend.

“I look forward returning to the region of Kingston and Trenton where I graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1986,” said the Veterans Ombud. “These visits help me learn more about the challenges Veterans in Canada face. They also provide my office with vital information on how we can better serve the Veteran community."
