Veterans Ombudsman to Release Report on the New Veterans Charter and Actuarial Analysis

Ottawa ON
Canada

Guy Parent, Canada’s Veterans Ombudsman, will hold a national news conference on Tuesday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. ET, to release his report on the New Veterans Charter with an accompanying Actuarial Analysis. The release culminates the most comprehensive and intensive research and analysis work that the Office of the Veterans Ombudsman has undertaken since it opened in 2007. Its analysis of benefits and programs pinpoints exactly where the current suite of New Veterans Charter benefits are failing Veterans today, and will continue to fail them and their families tomorrow unless changes are made quickly to save them from hardship and poverty. Its recommendations are a roadmap to immediate action to fix current weaknesses in the New Veterans Charter.
