Veterans Ombudsman 2017-18 Annual Report tabled today

The Veterans Ombudsman’s 2017-18 Annual Report was tabled today in the House of Commons by the Minister of Veterans Affairs. The report covers all activities of the Office of the Veterans Ombudsman (OVO) from April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2018, and highlights the OVO’s accomplishments in 2017-18.
The Annual Report highlights the support that the OVO provided to Veterans and their families. It also provides information on the reviews conducted and the reports released by the OVO. It also gives an overview of its engagement and outreach activities.

- The Office of the Veterans Ombudsman works to ensure that Canada’s Veterans, serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the RCMP, and their families are treated respectfully, in accordance with the Veterans Bill of Rights, and receive the services and benefits that they are entitled to in a fair, timely and efficient manner.
- Over 9,000 Veterans from across the country reached out to the Veterans Ombudsman and his team for assistance in 2017-18, and 1,713 files were addressed during the year.
