The Office of the Veterans Ombudsman receives information and referrals, helping Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and RCMP members, Veterans, and their families access VAC services and benefits in a fair and timely manner. It also investigates complaints of those who feel that they were unfairly treated by VAC and seeks resolution when inequity is found. The Office conducts systemic investigations on issues impacting the Veteran population and makes recommendations to the Minister of Veterans Affairs to advance fair outcomes for Veterans and their families.
